New call center to open in northern Kentucky

<div id="subtitle">100 full-time jobs to be created when call center opens in northern Kentucky</div><div><p>Gov. Steve Beshear says a call center will open in the northern Kentucky city of Newport, creating about 100 jobs.</p><p>Indiana-based DEFENDER Direct Inc., which markets ADT Security Services and Dish Network, will invest more than $2.3 million in the venture.</p><p>Beshear made the announcement on Wednesday.</p><p>Chief Operations Officer John Corliss said support from local and state governments played a large part in the decision to expand into Newport.</p><p>The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority has given preliminary approval for tax incentives of up to $750,000 over a 10-year period.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=65165498&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
